As well as automatic inclusion of 4 average and points systems we have available a new system that adds interest to a club and is considered a cheaper way of racing pigeons and one that hopefully promotes stronger clubs. The theory is that members who want to fly in several clubs can in one club enjoy specialist racing eg 2 or 5 Bird as well as compete in an Open Race situation.
This idea was introduced to Mysoft by Graham Guy, Secretary of the Midlands Continental Classic Club and the Bird in Hand Flying Club. Graham feels that in today’s world value for money, support for one club and working together can create a better Club and also improve the competitive element of pigeon racing. As only one membership fee is required and no rushing around on marking nights, this makes good sense.
The Bird In Hand Flying Club will run 4 clubs and be able to produce 4 results on the day with different pools and prizes.... 2, 5, 10 Birds plus an Open Race. No bird can be entered in different clubs so the flyer has to be selective and this will add to the interest. As well as individual race results and all averages and points for that club, a separate result will be produced (if required) for the Federation result listing the birds in actual velocity order.
Please feel free to comment on this very interesting and innovative system
